Art of Coloring Classes | VanillaArts.com

Intermediate - advanced Classes

Art based lessons for experienced colorers looking to take their skills to the next level.

NOTE: Because I want to make sure that you will not be overwhelmed by the class pace, Copic Club is a prerequisite to enrolling in Art of Coloring.

This class will not cover basic techniques such as flicking, feathering, and blending. You will need to have these skills well mastered to keep up with the pace of instruction.

June:

Introduction to Landscapes.

Wednesday, June 14 from 1:00pm to 3:30pm

Thursday, June 15 from 6:00pm to 8:30pm

Lesson: Learn the basics and the drawbacks to doing landscapes with Copic markers.

Medium: Copic Marker & artist grade colored pencil (Prismacolor or Luminance)

Landscapes with marker sounds like a good idea until you actually try one. Because it's hard to do small landscapes, colorers are left with a choice- large areas with realistic color that are streaky or leaving exposed white paper. Both problems completely spoil the realism.

There are tricks to coloring landscapes with marker. Join Amy as she applies her painting techniques to a gorgeous Lake Michigan lighthouse to celebrate a very recognizable and realistic Michigan landmark- Big Sable Point lighthouse in Ludington, Michigan.
