There are tricks to gorgeous art journaling, easy concepts and techniques that anyone can master.

Introducing Calendare! Kit based art journal workshops for beginners.
Each month, Amy creates a wonderful class kit to create one diary style, two page layout in your Dylusions Creative Journal.
Monthly kit included in the class fee.
Learn the basics of color theory, color mixing, and dip your toes into the world of mixed media. Make your own beautiful background pages with guaranteed color combinations- it's not just the how but you'll learn the why too!
Bring along goodies and embellishments from home for a truly original calendar page!
This class is based on a concept by mixed media artist Kate Crane. Calendars are an easy and non threatening format which gives students some structure but also allows space to play and experiment. Throughout the month you can add short diary or gratitude entries to each of your squares, making the project more personal.

Both CalenDARE and 12 Pages classes work from the same monthly supply list. Students are responsible for bringing their own journal and supplies from the small list of non-kit items.
Kits contain original Vanilla Arts Company graphics and lettering. Each kit has enough elements to make that month's two-page layout. Elements may be glued directly to page, or used as image transfers.
Students are encouraged to bring embellishments from home. Embellishments should not be too thick or your journal may not close properly. Excellent decor includes washi tape, stickers, sequins, gems, or other relatively flat items. Additional colored pencils, or Faber Castell Big Brush Markers may also come in handy.
Products on your supply list which will be used every month include:
Dylusions Creative Journal- a large format, heavy duty journal which is perfect for media heavy projects.
Izink- fun and beautiful acrylic inks which are easily mixed and manipulated.
Soft Gel medium- an incredibly versatile glue, transfer medium, and sealant.
White gesso- multipurpose base coat for paper which strengthens and prepares the paper for a wide variety of surface treatments.
Ideaology Remnant Rub-ons- the no-mess way to add dates to your calendar as needed.
Join me for a relaxing evening as we play with color and pattern.
