Are your walls full?
Looking for new ways to celebrate and display your coloring projects and Copic Marker artwork?
In Vanilla Arts classes, we tend to color large projects.
Larger images are full of wide open spaces ready for you to add lots of beautiful color, texture, and ultimately adding the realism.
But that larger size means they take up a lot more space on your bulletin board.
Eventually, you’ll need a different solution!
Kathy is one of my cleverest students who has become a dear friend. She’s always experimenting with new products and craft tools.
I’ve asked Kathy to share how she’s been utilizing her many, many Vanilla Arts projects.
You can tell from her fridge here that she’s totally out of room!
You can find Kathy’s first Repurpose project, a Classic Tote Bag here.
But tote bags are nothing revolutionary.
Today we’re bringing you a very unique project!
Repurpose #2: Festive Pitcher
By Kathy F.S.
Have you looked at the calendar recently?
Where has the year gone?
Another holiday season is barreling down upon us and it’s time to start thinking about the people on your gift list!
If you’re like me, you’d gladly welcome new ideas for gifts this season.
With that in mind, I headed off to look through my collection of finished coloring projects with an eye for something that I could use as the artwork on a gift.
Imagine my surprise, when what should appear . . . Merriest Berries in all her holiday splendor!
Merriest Berries is the perfect candidate to become beautiful Christmas decor.
Once I had my image in mind, off I went to the local craft store with a 40% off coupon in hand, hoping to be hit with a bolt of inspiration.
As I looked around I was amazed by all the items available that are intended to be adorned with vinyl. That’s when lightning struck...I purchased a plain white vessel (some might use it as a vase and others as a beverage pitcher) and headed home.
Before the night was through, my plain white pitcher was transformed into a gift I am very proud to give.
The big question now: will I actually be able to part with it?
No worries, with a project this easy, I can always make more!
Please note: it is not possible for me to write a detailed tutorial on how to create this project because whenever a computer is involved, there are just too many ways to achieve the desired result.
Even if we use the same software, printer, and vinyl cutters, there are lots of ways to get the job done.
Instead, I’ve created a helpful run-down of the process I used plus a few troubleshooting tips. Hopefully, this can serve as a starting point to guide you through a similar process using your software, your printer, and your cutting machine.
My process is available below in a printable PDF download.
