Good technique works for more than just one coloring class. To color this festive Christmas door with Copic Markers and colored pencils, I combined my beginner layering lesson with my intermediate rustic wood lesson. Together, easy techniques add up to advanced realistic and artistic coloring.

Color Rustic wood & Christmas Wreaths Without a Specialized Class

It would be impossible to create a Copic Marker or colored pencil class for everything everyone wants to color.

Even if I devoted all my time to producing classes, 24 hours a day, non-stop, I still couldnā€™t please everyone.

The good news is that you donā€™t need a dedicated class to color this realistic advanced level Christmas door.

You can use techniques borrowed from other Vanilla Arts classes to color holiday digital stamps.

You can color this door, your own door drawing, or any other door (or window) stamp you encounter.

Good technique isnā€™t just good for one project.

Good technique is good for a lifetime of coloring!

Borrow & Combine Techniques to Create Original Coloring Projects

Make the most out of every coloring class you take!

To color this warm and rustic holiday door with Copic and colored pencils, I used techniques from two Vanilla Arts classes.

Rustic Maple Leaf + Flutterby = a warm and welcoming Christmas project

Use the background technique from my Rustic Maple Leaf online coloring class to create a weathered texture on the antique door of the Welcome Home stamp. This is an intermediate challenge level realism lesson.

Flutterby is a beginner level coloring workshop which teaches how to create easy depth and dimension in stacked objects. Use this same technique to color the berries in the wreath and make it pop against the rustic door.

Welcome Home is an original digital stamp from Amy Shulke here at VanillaArts.com. Amyā€™s stamps are full of wide open spaces and no texture marks, allowing your coloring to shine though with realism and artistry.
